As solicitors can charge up to £200 an hour for legal advice (Source: Trading Standards March 2004 - Update report Q3-Q4 2007 Law Society), Allianz Legal Protection's Commercial Legal Protection Insurance offers a cost effective way of protecting companies from legal risks whilst tailoring cover to their own specific needs.
Under our Commercial Legal Protection Insurance scheme arrangement, there are two levels of cover available, 'Commercial Plus’ & ‘Commercial Standard’. The ‘Commercial Plus’ product offers all areas of cover detailed including full Contract Disputes and the ‘Commercial Standard’ offers all areas of cover excluding Contract Disputes.

| £100,000 | Taxation | Cover of up to £100,000 for any one claim in respect of the professional fees and costs incurred in representing the Policyholder in: - a Full Enquiry by the Inland Revenue into the Policyholder’s business tax affairs; - a PAYE Investigation by the Inland Revenue; - a VAT Tribunal; - an appeal against a decision made by the Inland Revenue Commissioners or a VAT Tribunal. |
| £100,000 | Criminal Prosecution Defence | Cover of up to £100,000 for any one claim in respect of the Insured’s legal costs to defend his or her legal rights after an event, which arises out of the Policyholder’s normal business activities and results in criminal proceedings against the Insured. |

| Up to £100 each day | Jury Service Allowance | Cover of up to £5,000 for any one claim in respect of the irrecoverable salary or wages of a worker if that worker has to go to court for jury service. |
| Up to £100 each day | Witness Attendance Allowance | Cover of up to £5,000 for any one claim in respect of the irrecoverable salary or wages of a worker. This cover will only apply if we require that worker to go to court, tribunal or arbitration as a witness for the Policyholder or Insured in respect of a claim under the policy. |
